What's the message
Street food is a great way of providing cheap and tasty food for people on the move in cities, but vendors need access to sanitation and training to make sure the food is safe for everyone to eat.

Facts at a glance
In Zimbabwe, samples of street food tested were contaminated with E-coli and salmonella.
1/3… In Dhaka, Bangladesh, one third of street food vendors don't cover their food wares, despite sewers, garbage disposal sites, canals, drainage systems and public toilets in the vicinity.
1%… In India, only 1% of vendors surveyed washed their hands with running water at the locations where they sold their food.
